History:
Born in the wilderness, Millie is the daughter of a stray husky and is said to have inherited her mother's loner nature. Her mother, Red Cloud, birthed three other pups, two males and another female. Millie's siblings were named Nuka, Nanuit and Iquira. As a young pup, it was obvious Millie showed more wolfish characteristics then her siblings. She could sit and watch the stars and moon for hours and when she did romp with her siblings, Millie was rougher and often chided by her mother to be gentler. When they were confined to staying near their den, Millie was constantly restless, pacing and sniffing around in search of something to hunt or play with. Her siblings were all more dog-like, favoring gentler play, simply chasing each other rather then really romping or play fighting.
When she reached roughly a year old, Millie had had enough of her softy dog family and set off on her own. It was a gutsy move but Millie never regretted it, not really. She feels like she was made to be alone. Wolves laugh at her because she's not full wolf and dogs don't trust her because she's not all dog. Millie doesn't really mind, she just prefers to be left alone. Millie taught herself a lot of the things she needed to survive such as digging into the snow when no other shelter was available or figuring out which prey was more plentiful where. Millie sometimes wonders about where her family ended up but usually her mental wanderings end in contempt because she can't help but think her family was simply weak, that she's got three paws in the wolf world and one in the dog world. She came to dwell in the ROUND lands by complete accident and carries a microchip in her neck and like most other dogs is weary of being shot but also wanting to get rid of it.
Description:
Millie is a gorgeous creature, right in the middle of wolf and dog. For a female husky she'd stand too tall, standing proud on long wolf legs. Her paws are large which helps her to wade through deep snow and trek across frozen rivers with more ease then a normal dog. Millie's pelt is a lovely mix of blues and greys rippling and streaking down her bodice giving her the coloring of a winter evening, between the grey sunlight and blue nighttime. Her underbelly and the insides of Millie's legs are a lighter shade of silver offsetting the bluish hues of her upper body and back. Millie has a long, narrow muzzle and large alert ears as well as amazingly light blue eyes to accent her face. Her pelt has two layers like a husky pelt, a topcoat and and undercoat. The undercoat is fine and thick to insulate heat but is also lighter silver. The topcoat to Millie's pelt is darker then her undercoat and a bit courser to help her weather tough weather. In overall appearance her fur has a feathery look to it with slight feathering on her front legs extending Long legs help her wade through deep snow and thickly furred paws keep her feet warm while she does so.
