[Mrin]

A wolf hybrid lays in her cage. She is smaller than most of her blood's kin. In her veins run wolves and german shepherds, more wolf than dog. Her father was a hybrid of wolf and dog, and her mother, a wolf.
Ah, but she did not know them. The chemicals the scientists shot through her viens deteriorated her memory. She was known now, as WGSH 0817. She stared at the silver room, where her masters worked, but it was empty. They left her. It pained her to think that they hurt her. 'They only want you to prove how much you love them.', she thought to herself. 'They are making you stronger this way....
Right now, she felt anything but strong, her muscles were tight and sore from the running experiment and the chemicals that now ran with the wolves and german shepherds in her blood.

[Saber]

"Must.. Stay.. On top of... Water... Must not... Drown..." A young timber wolf was fighting for his life in one of the water tests that the humans placed him in. He tried as hard as he could to stay afloat, but no matter what he did he could not find the energy to keep him from drowning. At last after a few moments he gave up. His tired body sank limply to the bottom of the pool.

Two human hands reached into the water and grabbed hold of the wolf's body, pulling him out gently. The hand then placed him on a silver table, pulled a mask-like vacuum over his muzzle, and began sucking out the water from his lungs and nostrils. In mere moments, the wolf regained consciousness and started gasping for air. The human hands took off the mask and inserted a syringe into the back of the wolf's neck. In moments the wolf was out like a light.

The human hands picked him up and carried him to another room, one filled with cages. The hands unlocked a cage and placed the wolf inside. The hands seemed to have a voice, for they started to mutter non-existent words to the wolf. Finally, the cage door closed. It was over for now.

[Mrin]

WGSH 0817 slowly lifted her head as the humans put the other wolf in the cage near her own. Her tail wagged, and thumped on the cold bottom of the metal cage that held her. Of course, the humans ignored her, and walked away. Her tail slowly stilled, and her head slowly rested on the cold silver.

"Are you okay? Did they make you Swim?" She asked the timber wolf.

WGSH 0187 was always worried about the wolf. He was tested by the humans quite a bit, and she worried that he hated the humans she held so high.

[Saber]

The wolf, known as Siberus, lay half asleep in the cold cage. Slowly, he regained conciousness and awoke. His head was spinning. Then, he heard a voice from the cage near his. It was from a wolf hybrid that Siberus had talked to often.

"Huh? Yeah, they did.... Except this time... I drowned.... They let me drown...." he answered the female. Siberus's muscles ached and his joints were firing up. All he wanted to do was tear the humans apart. But he didn't want to tell the female, for Siberus was a solitary type of animal. He kept to himself most of the time.

[Mrin]

WGSH 0817 could not believe her ears, or the words the wolf spoke! "They....let you drown!?" She whimpered. She knew better than to deny what the wolf said, as he had just been through something she couldn't comprehend.

'Drowning? What is drowning?' She tried to remember. Was drowning that thing the wolf was once talking about? About being under water? She thought she remembered, but it seemed foggy.

She forced herself on her legs, weakened from severe lack of use. Most of the time, the humans put a string around her neck, and dragged her. She rarely, if ever, needed to stand on her own. It didn't help that she had chemicals messing up her system. Upon her, the humans were testing different cures for various illnesses, but she didn't know that.

She tried taking a step, but stumbled. She leaned against the door for support.



And fell through.

It opened.

[Saber]

Siberus's ears shot up at the sound of the unlatched door.He quickly shot a glance at the female wolf's cage. There he saw the door open, with the female outside on the cold, hard floor. Instantly, he dragged himself closer to the door of his own cage. He gave it a few pushes, but it wouldn't budge.

Siberus dragged himself closer to the corner of his cage, where the female was lying outside. "How... how did you do that?" He asked.

[Mrin]

WGSH 0817 slowly pushed herself onto her legs. "I...I don't know! I didn't mean to!" She whimpered to the wolf. She had fear flowing in her blood now. What if the humans came? Would they hate her? She looked at the wolf, and slowly walked over. She had to get him out at least.

She bit one of the bars of the cage, and pulled. And kept pulling.

[Saber]

Siberus walked up to the bars where the female was pulling at. "stand back!" he yelled. His legs took off in a heartbeat. He was running straight towards the bars, and then, with all him might, he hit. The bars cracked, but did not break. He tried again, harder this time and the bars broke. He flew out and whacked himself against a desk. Siberus got up and shook his head around. He turned towards the female and then towards the door of the room.

Siberus saw a handle on the door. He jumped up and pressed it down, releasing the latch and opening it. He then faced the female, "Come on! We have to get out of here before the humans come back"

[Mrin]

WGSH 0817 stared in fear at the wolf. He...wanted to leave? She wanted to get him out, because he didn't like the humans, but she? She loved the humans. Still....the wolf, Saber she remembered him once saying, made her feel different inside. With him, she felt something she never felt with the humans. She couldn't remember what the feeling was, though. Whatever it was, it made her want to run and....and....

She couldn't remember that thing she once did. When she opened her mouth up, and a sound came out. Saber made her want to run and do that.

She looked away for a second, unsure if she could leave the humans or the feeling. 'They.....don't need me....they have....others.....' She thought sadly. She turned to Saber.

And followed him.

[Saber]

Siberus stared at the female kindly. He was growing a kinship with her. Although, he didn't want to show it, ruining his reputation as a loner.

Siberus saw that the female was walking towards him. With that, he took off past the door, checking every now and then if the female was behind him. He knew it was hard for her. How she loved the humans so much. It sickened him to force her to leave. But he had a feeling that she had no idea how to be a free wolf.

It seemed like they were running for hours until they ran into a chain link fence. Siberus walked around it from both left and right. He found a small tear in the fence. He started digging, but that made no progress. He turned to the female. "What do you think we should do?"

[Mrin]

WGSH 0817 looked at Saber. "I...." She started, but her ears pricked. She looked toward the sound that was on the other side of the fence. A rabbit. WGSH 0817 stared at the strange creature. "What is that?" She wondered. She looked back at Saber. Slowly, she walked over to him, and tried digging. It was the first time she remembered doing this, yet, somehow, it felt normal. As if she had done for years, though she didn't quite know what she was doing. "Maybe if we both do this?" She asked.

[Saber]

Siberus stared at the female. He then turned towards the hole that the female was digging. He thrust his paws, clawing all of the rubbish dirt out of the hole. It was a challenge, seeing as he was still weak from hunger and the drowning.

Finally, after a while, Siberus noticed that the hole was big enough for the two of them to crawl under. "That should be enough" He told the female. Siberus slid under the fence, barbed wires scathing his flesh. When he was on the other side, he noticed something frightening. Humans were running towards them. A sound bellowed through the compound; it was a siren. "Hurry!! We must get out of here as fast as possible!!" He yelled.

[Mrin]

WGSH 0817 crawled through the hole, fear was making her movements awkward, and rushed. The loud noise of the siren hurting her entire body.

Finally!

She was through!

She glanced at the male, waiting for his direction. Where would he go? She would probably go with him, since she knew she couldn't survive on her own.

[Saber]

Siberus was glad that the female had come through the hole. Now he just had to find out the safest direction to travel in. He dashed off towards an empty space in the surrounding forest, hoping that it was safe.

Occasionally, he checked if the female was following him. Trees darted past them. Siberus could scent the humans at his tail. The forest opened up to a rushing river. He quickly ran and jumped over it with ease. He turned around to see if the female was following him, but he could not see her.

[Mrin]

She was trotting as fast as her weakened legs would allow. She panted heavily, and soon lost sight of the wolf. It didn't help that she never saw poles as large and as thick as the ones all around her before. They were dark brown, and had green all over the top. It was like a large cage with irregular bars all around, and strange smells. She tasted, rather than smelled the scents, since she was panting, and that weakened the strength of the scents.

Soon, she slowed to a walk, until it became too hard to even walk. As soon as she came to a complete stop, her legs found her body too heavy to carry, and they failed her. She collapsed on her side, and slowly caught her breath in large gulping gasps. The floor was strangely...bumpy. It wasn't flat like her other cage. It was also damp.

She was tired, but her body was too exhausted to allow her sleep. She wondered where the wolf went. Did he get shut in the strange cage? The cage didn't have any sides, just bars. No doors either.

Where was she?
